Horns and the Goldbergs for March 11

Next Friday night, March 11, I'm putting together some music for brass  for the 6-7 PM slot. So far I've found some gems by Debussy, Saint-Saens and others. Feel free to make requests, although I'm avoiding the tried and true "favorites" like the Haydn Trumpet Concerto.

A few months ago on The Concert Stage (8-9 PM) ago I had a good time piecing together a "performance" of Bach's Goldberg Variations, using recordings of pianists, string ensembles, horns, chamber orchestras, harp, jazz trios, etc., from over 15 performing artists. Next Friday I'll present an encore of this program, as several listeners commented on how enjoyable it was.

Stay tuned.
